Play “Behind Closed Doors” by Jean-Paul Sartre in Germany 2026

A play about human passions, fears, and the torment of self-discovery, where three characters find themselves in hell after death — a locked room with no escape. There is no fire or demons here: each becomes the tormentor of the others.

“What if hell is other people?” — the central question of the play, which turns the stage into a psychological battlefield revealing the hidden sides of the human soul, the thirst for power, and the desperate need for recognition.
