On October 25–26, 2025, the Saxon capital will once again host one of Germany’s most scenic races — the Dresden Marathon 2025.
Thousands of runners from across the world will take part, enjoying routes that pass along the River Elbe, through the baroque city center and past Dresden’s famous landmarks.
The start and finish are located at the Congress Center Dresden, near the Marienbrücke bridge. Runners can choose between the full marathon (42.195 km), half marathon, 10 km race, and children’s runs.
Music stages, cheering zones and street performers will line the route, creating a festive atmosphere. Organizers expect over 9,000 participants and tens of thousands of spectators.
Under the motto “Green Running”, the 2025 edition emphasizes sustainability — with reusable cups, recycling points and renewable energy.
Registration is still open on the official website. Everyone is welcome — from elite athletes to first-time runners.
