Festive car convoy attracted thousands of spectators in Hanover
In Hanover, the annual Twinkle Light Cruise 2025 lit up the city centre on the evening of December 20, attracting thousands of spectators. Festively decorated vehicles adorned with strings of lights, bulbs and glowing stars paraded through the streets in a spectacular convoy, creating a dazzling display under the night sky.
Now in its seventh year, the event features creatively decorated cars — including classic VW Bullis and other vintage models — as well as motorcycles and scooters covered with lights. Organisers say that each vehicle carried at least several thousand lights, with some boasting up to 15,000 bulbs.
Crowds lined the streets to enjoy the roughly one-hour route through downtown Hanover, soaking up the festive atmosphere, music and striking visual spectacle. The Twinkle Light Cruise has become a beloved pre-Christmas tradition that brings together car enthusiasts, local creatives and families for a joyful celebration of light.
